You want a relationship? Are you serious?

You say you want a relationship but is that really true? If you’re unsuccessful in the dating game, it could be that you are inadvertently sabotaging your own efforts to find love?

I’m a feng shui consultant and the number one reason clients consult me is to find a partner. They tell me about their dating disasters, the problems with their previous relationships and often they despair at their lack of success. They share with me their conscious intention: to find love. However, nothing seems to work and this may be the same for you too.

If that’s the case it could be that, energetically and unconsciously, you are saying a big NO to having a relationship.

So, how do you know if you are sabotaging your own efforts to find love? All you have to do is take a look at your bedroom. It can be very honest is expressing your real intentions towards love and relationships.

Here are some signs of self-sabotage:

  • Your bed is only big enough for you or pushed into a corner where only one person can get in and out of it.
  • If you do have space around the bed there is only a bedside table or light on one side.
  • The linen hasn’t been changed since…….?
  • There are candy/food/drink wrappers under/around/in the bed. This shows your nesting instincts.
  • Closets and draws are full to bursting with no space to accommodate anybody else.
  • Broken or unused stuff collects dust under the bed.
  • The bedroom is used as a laundry room/gym/office/den etc.
  • Artwork displays moody pictures of single figures indicating a solo energy rather than a relationship.

You’re probably getting the picture aren’t you? Your bedroom is saying this is about me, it is where I retreat from the world and be alone – there is no room for anybody else. In feng shui, your bedroom is the physical manifestation of your unconscious desires for a relationship. Does your bedroom support your dating efforts? If not try these tips to make your bedroom ready for romance.

  • Change your mattress. Sleepless nights, midnight tears and arguments with ex partners will be held emotionally in your mattress. A new mattress means a new start.
  • Make sure there is space on both sides of the bed which sets out the intention that this bed is for two.
  • Fit a solid headboard. This will support you whilst you sleep and improve the quality of your sleep which in turn improves your confidence and attractiveness to others.
  • Make space for somebody else. Clear a drawer or some hangers in your closet.
  • Clear any clutter and either repair or get rid of anything that is broken. This all acts as a metaphor for your love life. You don’t want it to be broken, cluttered or stagnant do you?
  • Keep the bed linen fresh. Just imagine that you get that gorgeous date back to your place: got to be prepared!
  • Ensure any imagery or artwork shows happy, couple images. Couples don’t need to be in the same picture. You could have a god and goddess in separate pictures but grouped together.

Just following these simple steps will align your unconscious intention with your conscious one. Happy dating.
